Allegory- A narrative in verse or prose in which the literal events. To ne- The writer’s attitude his or her subject. Alliteration- Succession of similar sounds. Theme- The central message or insight into life revealed through the literary work. Antagonist- Whose desires or needs run counter to those of the protagonist or keep him or her from getting what he or she wants. Protagonist- The principal person with whom the story is concerned with. Round character- Describe a complex character who is presented in depth and detail in a narrative. Flat character- Has only one outstanding trait or feature, or at most a few distinguishing marks. Conflict- Essence of drama. Rising action- Which events start moving toward the climax . Climax- Tension reaches it’s great highest. Falling action- after climax Subsequent events, including a resolution. Resolution- Outcome or conclusion. Couplet- A two line stanza in poetry. Stanza- Section of poems.
