By: Ryan Mantz CQ Assessment Paper Cultural Intelligence is a malleable capability that can be enhanced by multicultural experiences, training and self-awareness programs, travel and education. Communication with the other cultures may result to positive outcomes. Intercultural communication can help in getting rid of the stereotype of different cultures and understand as well as accept the other culture. We cannot communicate objectively if we have negative perceptions towards other cultures. Without the interference of stereotypes in our communication, many benefits people will get whether the success in business sector, the defense system of a country will become stronger and the exchanging of knowledge within students become greater. In a workplace, for instance we cannot work happily with each other if we are stereotyping others. Understanding other cultures can help you in situations that make you feel uncomfortable. Some of the intercultural challenges that I face today are going out of my comfort zone to meet new people in other cultures. All throughout my life I have predominantly associated myself with the culture of white America. This is the culture that I feel the most comfortable with and it has been all I have known. Getting out of my comfort zone would be me actually going to different events or making friends with people who have a different culture. Facing these challenges can be hard because you are not use to the other persons background. I struggle with making friends from different cultures. A lot of the time I associate myself with people I feel comfortable with and can relate to them. I feel sometimes have a hard time relating to other people’s cultures. That why I feel that I need to get myself out there and
