Taste Test Practicum You are about to spend some quality time working on school assignments while enjoying a nice snack. Wait, you do that already? But what about an assignment that requires you to eat? Now we’re talking!! In order to get you thinking about our various sense systems and their functions, you will be completing a taste test! You will have to enlist the help of a partner toward the end of this assignment and you will read why soon. As you are eating, reflection on how the loss of each sense affects the taste of the food you are ingesting. Further think about possible interactions taking place among your senses that are either increasing or decreasing your taste test experience. Please make sure you have enough foods that fall into each category: sweet, salty, sour, and spicy (though not a taste, it works great for this assignment!). You have the choice of what foods you want to eat for each category, i.e. Sour Patch Kids, Salt and Vinegar chips, brownies, and Flaming Hot Cheetos. Instructions: For each category, please record your sensory experience (i.e. does the food taste the same, does the intensity change, and so forth).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
