Daniell Washington HCM-320 Module Five Journal Working in the pharmaceutical field I have experienced several socioeconomic issues that prevent patients from getting better. You become witness to the barriers of a broken healthcare system and economy. Parents and patients trying to determine what bill they will not pay this month just to afford their chemo or diabetic medication is heart breaking. Deep down you know the bill not being paid could be rent, gas, or electric. Majority of American population lives check by check, they have very minimal savings. As a reimbursement advocate in the PBM I work for I try to offer any type of copay assistant program or federal grants that can help patients with their out of pocket. My professional definition of healthcare does not change. This video gives me hope that we are starting to change how we treat patients as well as reforming the healthcare system and approach.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
