In order for a leader to anticipate and to respond to the changing environment, a leader must be up to date with the most current information related to transformational change. By tapping into technology and using the search features of Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn along with scholarly articles andbooks available online, a leader can and will remain relevant and help educate and guide his organization to remain competitive and relevant when the information is applied. Once an organization realizes it must changein order to survive, the amount of time needed to change, coupled with the degree to which change is needed, dictates the organizational development (OD) or transformation strategy used to adapt to the ever changing environment. “Change is in essence, a moving target. The technological, social, and economic environment is rapidly changing, and an organization will beable to survive only if it can effectively anticipate and respond to these changing demands” (Brown, 2011, p. 7). In order for a leader to anticipate and to respond to those changing demands, a leader must keep up to date with the most current information related to transformational change. A leader’s ability to tap into technology and use the search features of Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn along with scholarly articles and books to search for information on Change Management, Leadership, Total Quality Management, and Organizational Development will helpeducate and guide his organization to remain competitive and relevant when that information is applied.
