Unformatted text preview: Basic Concepts Worksheet 1.3 Description: Beta Sheets can be broken down into two major categories, Parallel and Antiparallel. Each structure has unique hydrogen bonding interactions that differ by the angle of which they are able to interact (see fig. 4.16 for example). Instructions: Download the chemdraw file and in the following structures draw, using dashed lines, the hydrogen bonds that occur between the carbonyl oxygens and amines for the parallel and antiparallel sheets. Indicate which type of sheet it is by underlining it. What to submit: Draw in the hydrogen bonds for parallel and antiparallel sheets using Chemdraw and replace the current image with new ones. Underline the correct sheet type. Submit as an image or PDF. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
