College Expectations 2:1 Rule For every one hour spent in class, students are expected to spend two hours outside of class reviewing, preparing, and completing homework. For example, how many hours a week should you spend outside of class on a course that’s 3 credit hours? Where do students complete most of their learning in college: inside or outside of class time?

To-Do Lists A to-do list is a list of activities or tasks you need to complete, often during a specific period of time, such as a day or week. To-do lists allow you to set your intentions for the day: Where do you want or need to spend your energy?

To-Do Lists To-do lists are prioritized by asking three questions: What is important? What is urgent? What is both important and urgent? Complete tasks in the following order: 1st Important and urgent 2nd Urgent 3rd Important As deadlines approach, important items move up in urgency and priority on the list.
