Dr. Rasmussen and class, Before beginning the Nursing Informatics (NI) course, I only thought of nursing informatics as having the knowledge of basic computer skills. In this course, the role of the master’s prepared nurse and competencies associated with nursing informatics were identified, the professional way to develop a project using project management was discussed, ethical and legal issues trending in nursing informatics were examined, and lastly informatics terminology were defined. The course outcomes mentioned above are supported by the different activities provided in the course. The VLE experience using Second Life engages students in the assignment. The Second Life scavenger hunt helped me to become involved in searching for specific articles or links in correlation with basic computer skills. Virtual worlds offer potential for nursing students

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
