Toddler/2s Transition Activity Plan Teacher: Ms. Kristan & Ms. Carli Theme: Holiday Celebrations Around the World Week: November 27 th – December 1 st Goals: Children will engage in art and sensory activities related to different cultural holiday celebrations. Children will be introduced to the stories and symbols of different cultural holidays celebrations. Language and Cognition Large Motor Art and Fine Motor Learning from the World/Sensory Songs and Stories Monday “Menorah Match” Children will use colored candlesticks and place them in the right spot on a color coated Menorah. Word: World (Ryder) “Balance” Children will walk around with a candlestick balancing a candle. “Candle Coloring” Children will write on paper with a candle then color over it with crayon. (Avni) “Jingle Bell” The children will search through sensory bin of red and green shredded paper to find the jingle bells and place them in a bucket.
