Lab 13: Freezing Point Depression: A Colligative Property of Solutions Lab Partners: Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to determine the freezing point of Cyclohexane and other various solutions of cyclohexane with the solute, naphthalene. Students will observe the effects of a solute on freezing point as well as determine the molar mass of an unknown substance.
