Maybe it is homogeneous grouping, busing, SAT scores No, its early childhood education Education: All of the experiences that an individual has from conception until death The definition is AMORAL: all the good experiences and bad experiences Why do we use conception? - We know that what happens in the womb is vitally important for the development of the child and all the experiences they have after - If the mother’s diet lacks in protein it will affect the development of the child’s brain - By age 6, 90% of a child’s cognitive ability is acquired - By age 7, 95%; by age 8, 98% - “Graduation begins in the womb, not in the classroom” –Uunks - Between having a highschool or a day care, its more important to have a daycare - Youth not being ready for school when they get to school Why does the Secretary of Education focus on high school? -
