INDIVIDUAL REFLECTION: MY BLUEPRINT OF PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONALGROWTH2Individual Reflection: My Blueprint of Professional and Personal GrowthComponent 1: Executive SummaryThe Dynamic Leadership course has educated me over the past eight weeks in thefollowing three areas – on being a quality leader, an effective follower and recognizing myvalues.Understanding how both the leadership and followership are similar concepts, the leaderhas an idea, and the follower helps the leader reach the goal.“Being a good follower meansensuring your boss is supported, but only if he is making optimum decisions.” (Johnson, 2011,page 33)Both live by values, principals, and ethics either at work or home.As the weeksprogressed, I learned about how to identify different qualities of leadership, what their corecompetencies are, as well as, leadership styles and theories.Now in week eight, my Blueprintfor Professional and Personal Growth is clarified; my values, principles, ethics, and goals are allpillars of my success.The Dynamic Leadership course showed me how to distinguish my leadership style and projecttheories to help me improve my leadership skills within my organization.This process hasrevealed my weaknesses, which allowed me to turn them into strengths.During our weeklydiscussions, I related with my colleagues on their opinions, receive advice, and we often guidedeach other by sharing our experience with one another.This course has given me insight on howto better how to be an efficient and effective leader.I learned how to be an adaptable leader bybeing able to switch leadership styles when needed.The content reviewed in the Dynamic Leadership course helped me appreciate the role leadersand followers have in achieving positive social change within an organization or community
