3. Singer and Regan both argue against the “speciest” view that humans are more morally significant than other beings simply because they are members of the human race. Do you agree with their arguments? Justify your view. Humans naturally have a preference to other humans because they are the same species, but that does not at all have to mean we should not morally consider other species for it. Another reason for giving stronger preference to the interests of human beings is that only human beings can act morally.”(Wilson) One can not expect there pet to sacrifice anything for the good of others. Animal and plants (from are knowledge)can not grasp the idea of a morally act. ”That is why human beings should give the interests of other human beings greater weight than they do the interests of animals.”(Wilson) This selfish act of only morally considering other humans has proved to lead to the destruction of other beings. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
