Arcadia PrewriteAssignment:Prewrite – 2 Introductions for Arcadia5-Paragraph Essay Length Prewrite:100 words each max Length Essay:800 min – 1000 words maxDue Date Prewrite:Monday, November 23Due Date Essay:Monday, November 30Value: 1 Essay Grade Prewrite; 3 Essay Grades EssayOn Monday, you need to bring a fully written introductory paragraph on two of the following topics. It will probably be 3 or 4 sentences total, with format similar to the comparison essay. Be sure it has a clearly written BI and LI. Be sure it is legible (either typed or handwritten clearly – others will see it). I will mark these, and you will need to include them with the final essay due November 30. Below are prompts with questions for you to ask yourself before you write the introductions. Do not try to answer all the questions in the intro – they are there for the “thinking it through” and “finding my evidence ahead of time” parts of the writing process. Be prepared to share these (thumb drives please, to save time) or as an exchange with other students in small groups. The actual essay will be 5-paragraphs (I have done several thought experiments with this one, and I don’t see a way for a 4-paragraph essay to do the job). Some of the questions invite you to include Galileoas a contrast or comparison. If you use Galileo, plan one body paragraph for Brecht and two body paragraphs for Stoppard.
