EVR1001L-0001 Spring 2018 Lab 1: Easter Island: Carrying Capacity and Sustainability Lab Report Cayla ConingsbyJanuary 28 2018 Materials and Methods: In this experiment, a time travel machine was used to transport each avatar to Easter Island to record the population and agriculture incline and decline in the years of 900 A.D., 1200 A.D., 1800 A.D., 1500 A.D., and 1600 A.D. Each visit, a line segment was conducted over a .002km² line of palm trees and mulberry trees to count the number of each tree decline and incline ratio. For the safety of native interaction, we were to fly an automated drone around 162 km² to record the population at each district. Through each test, it was recorded in a significant increase and decrease which led to the island being left by itself with no more trees and little civilization. At the end, we were to go back to the online classroom to submit all the data recorded to be used in an excel sheet to use for determining the graphs and tables. Table 1: In the table below, it is a description of all the recorded data from this lab. It depicts the approximant amount of population and tree area counted of each year visited.
