MGMT 591 LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR EXPANDED RESEARCH PROJECT A brief overview of the Abbott Laboratories and my role in it Abbott Laboratories, incorporated on March 6, 1900, is engaged in the discovery, development, manufacture and sale of a range of healthcare products. The Company operates through four segments: Established Pharmaceutical Products, Diagnostic Products, Nutritional Products and Vascular Products. The Company, through St. Jude Medical, Inc., also offers a range of products, such as rhythm management products, electrophysiology products, heart failure related products, vascular products, structural heart products and neuromodulation products. The principal products in the Company's other businesses include blood glucose and flash glucose monitoring systems, including test strips, sensors, data management decision software, and accessories for people with diabetes, under the Freestyle brand, and medical devices for the eye, including cataract surgery, laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) surgery, contact lens care products and dry eye products.
