Midterm Preparatory Sheet
EUH 3033/JST 3930
History of the Holocaust
You will take the Midterm Examination on Monday February 19 in Turlington 2319 from
6:15-8:15 pm. It is closed book, closed notes. You will need an examination bluebook (or
two) and you will need to write in ink. The midterm will have two parts.
Part I will be worth 40% and will consist of identifications. I will give you eight terms.
They will be prominent (I promise not obscure) names, events, etc. such as “Nuremberg
Laws,” “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” etc. You will have to write on FOUR. You will
write a paragraph on each identification term you choose, which identifies, DATES, and
provides the broader significance of the term in question. It will not be enough to have
just one or two of those elements or just to write a couple of sentences. Each answer
should be a substantial paragraph that includes all three elements.
Part II is an essay worth 60%. I will provide two of the essays below on the exam, and
