xxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxx Advanced Computer Applications Due on December 14, 2017 “The Importance of Making Sure Customers Feel Heard” The article titled “The Importance of Making Sure Customers Feel Heard” describes how to make sure clients feel like their input is being heard. The author of the article, Jason Feifer, used Dogfish Head Craft Brewery’s strategy for winning over customers as an example. The founder “… tamped down sales of his most popular beer- frustrating fans, bar owners and retailers alike for years- because he thought it would be better for his company’s long-term growth.”(Feifer). “… he gave me insight on how to win people over despite not giving them what they want. “We apologized,” he says. And he did a lot of listening, hearing out people’s complaints.”(Feifer). It’s always important to hear your customers out, they are what keeps your company afloat. Customers, and people in general, want to be heard. The article explains the importance of listening to your customers even if you don’t do anything they suggest. A lot more businesses would be successful if they would do what this article says and listen to their customers. When you go into business for yourself you still have a boss… your customers. For the most part I agreed with the article, but I disagree on one thing. I agree with the notion that people want to be heard, but when it comes to customers you should listen more closely. Customers are the ones buying from your business, so if you don’t give them what they want they will buy from some other business. And without people buying from your business your business will flicker out. In my opinion you need to keep customers happy to stay in business. The article describes a
