 Cardiac tissues are joined by cardiomyocytes ( single nucleated) to support synchronization. They
work as a simple functional organ, or syncylum and skeletal muscles are made of multinucleated
muscle fibers and have no intercalated discs.
 Smooth muscles are under involuntary control because they appear non-striated, are short, and
produce weaker contractions. You cannot control this type of movement.
 The nervous tissue is a componant of the nervous system that is mainly made of neurons and
supportive cells which are called neuroglia. Special adaptations are they percieve stimuli and
generate nerve impulses to various body organs.
 Simple columnar epitheliums are found in areas like the digestive tract. They specialize in
absorption. Microvilli is an adaptation to assist the intestine with absorption.
