Case Study #1 Due 10/5/17 Case 1. A 40-year-old woman was brought into the emergency room after having sustained a fall onto an outstretched arm with the elbow fully extended. On physical exam, the physician noted an obvious deformity, and it was noted that the dislocated radial head was palpable in the antecubital fossa. The x-ray is shown to the right. Case 2. A 13 year old boy comes in after being thrown from an ATV while riding in a field. His arm is painful and deformed at the elbow. He has numbness in his thumb, index, and middle fingers. The x-ray is shown below. Case 3. A 62 year old woman presents in the emergency room with a history of falling on and twisting of the lower right extremity which was followed by severe pain in the right hip area. She is unable to stand or move the right hip without pain. Local physical examination revealed the right lower limb in a position of hip extension with the leg externally rotated. The
