Identify and discuss each of the concerns about British rule that led some American colonists to issue the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Examine the document for yourself (listed on pages A1 - A3). Select three complaints against the King that you find the most objectionable and explain why. 1. One clear problem identified was the absence of the British in colonies outside large populated towns. Because of this shopkeepers and enterprising colonists could evade taxation laws normally
