Clifford Detiege Dr. Joe Sprinkle BTH1201 Old Testament History 01 April 2016 Chapter Summaries: 2 Sam 10 – 1 Kgs 17 2 Sam 10 The theme was the war with the Ammonites and the defeat of the Syrians. 2 Sam 11 The main idea was David's adultery and murder. 2 Sam 12 This entire chapter mainly talked about was the confrontation between Nathan and David. 2 Sam 13 This chapter introduces Amnon, Tamar, and Absalom. 2 Sam 14 It was around this time when Absalom returns to Jerusalem. 2 Sam 15 The main idea was about Absalom's rebellion. 2 Sam 16 Interesting idea when David takes off as Absalom asserts his reign. 2 Sam 17 It was time for Absalom to decide his direction. 2 Sam 18 This was the defeat of Absalom. 2 Sam 19 This chapter was expressing how the kingdom is restored to David. 2 Sam 20 The rebellion of Sheba was the main idea in this chapter. 2 Sam 21 The concept in this chapter was avenging the Gibeonites. 2 Sam 22 David's Psalm of Praise captures the major theme of this chapter.
