Module 6 The information that you will need for the discussion can be found in Case 23, p. 121; Case 9, pp. 130- 131; and Case 10b, p. 95 of Thinking Critically About Ethical Issues. As in all cases for this course, you must identify the parties and the moral issue(s) at stake. Then concentrate on identifying what moral virtues are at stake. Case 23- The parties involved in this case would be Claude, his roommate/friend and the dean. I understand Claude’s way of thinking here but as a friend Claude should have went to his friend and told him that he didn’t feel comfortable with him leaving in the same room while he sells drugs. Then after the talk if the friend continued to sell drugs he would have been morally cleared if he friend gets arrested or expelled because he gave him a chance to quite first. The Dean has to act on such information like this if not he can be held responsible with a failure to act. I would say Claude’s virtues are a little cloudy he seems he wants to do the right thing but, yet he is still doing drugs. ( Raley & Burnor
