Define diffusion and osmosis What is passive transport and how do passive transport proteins work? Can you identify some benefits to the cell? What is active transport and how do active transport proton-pump and sodium-potassium pump proteins work? What is a co-transporter and how does the transport take place? Can you identify some benefits to the cell? What are endocytosis and exocytosis and what do they accomplish for the cell? What is receptor mediated endocytosis and its features as discussed in class?
