■Compromise⅗- Agreement from the North to enforce propertytax, while the Southern states get representation for 3 out of 15slaves in Congress.Core of the Government Functions●Separation of Powers- The Constitution's delegation of authority for the primarygoverning functions among three branches of government so that no one groupof government officials controls all the governing functions.●Checks and Balances- a system in which each branch of government canmonitor and limit the functions of the other branches.Articles of the Constitution●Article I -- (Congress/Legislative Branch)- Can propose a piece of legislation,abill, to become a law. This requires a simple majority in both the House of Repsand the Senate.●Article II -- (President/Executive Branch)- Enforces laws.○Veto- the president’s rejection of a bill, which is sent back to Congresswith the president’s objection noted.
