Unformatted text preview: Magical Mystery Circuits II Dr. Wilde To test your black boxes, you have devised two test apparatuses. This time, in addition to the following five circuits: your circuit could also be a voltage source in series with a resistor: The analysis of this circuit is done using KVL: : − !"#! + !"#! + ! = 0 !"#! = !"#! + ! = 0 The I-‐V graph of this circuit is a line of slope R, passing the point (0, Vs). Of course, the resistance R cannot be negative. You perform two tests on each of the ten boxes. The table below summarizes the tests you made and what you recorded from the voltmeter and ammeter. Use your results to determine what is in each box. Fill in the table with your conclusions about what is in each box. Be sure to include units with your values. (The new voltage source-‐resistor box will need two values, one for Vs and one for R). ### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
