during my office hours. If you would like to meet with me outside of
my office hours, email me to set up an appointment. Feel free to email
me anytime as I check my email several times a day with the
EXCEPTION of WEEKENDS. If I receive an email from you after 12
noon on Fridays’, I will respond on Monday. I respond much quicker
to emails verses a phone call to my direct line.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This is an introductory course for science majors. It covers physical,
chemical, and biological principles common to all organisms. These
principles are explained through a study of cell structure and
function, cellular reproduction, basic biochemistry, cellular
energetics, the process of photosynthesis, and Mendelian and
molecular genetics. Also, included are the scientific methods and an
overview of the human organ system. Laboratory required.
