Journal Entry Ch. 7: Goals (10 points) Name: Mai Dang Date: 10/21/17 After reading Ch. 7 and reviewing the self- assessment on page 124, reflect on your own academic goals. Record one short-term academic goal and one long-term academic goal. Be sure these goals are in SMART goal format, and describe what steps you will take to achieve those goals. Why do you want to accomplish these particular goals? How do/will you know when you have achieved those goals? Based upon my self-assessment for Chapter 7 for my academic goals most of my goals are SMART goals. The reason for this is because they are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely. My long-term goal would then be to attend graduate school after I receive my bachelor’s degree but in order to achieve this goal, I have to overcome and achieve my short goals first. Such as maintain at least a GPA of 3.0 or higher and spending at least 15 minutes a day studying for each class.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
