N ITIE and its expertise in the field of supply chain management is unmatched by any other educational institution in the country. Leading this distinction is Chain to Excellence- the Supply Chain and Operations club of NITIE. C2X has been the driver of new thoughts and ideas among the student body through various case competitions, simulation exercises, certifications and knowledge sessions. OPUS is an excellent endeavor by the team to engage the student as well the academia on new trends in supply chain and operations. This year's issue covers in great depth the unique supply chain of the sea food industry among other things. The magazine is an attempt to engage the readers on the up and coming technologies in supply chain and it aims to provide a credible source of reference for the students. Team C2X has been in the forefront of unfolding innovative ideas in the field of SCM, and I believe that they will continue to do so and bring great laurels to the institute. th e are glad to present 4 Edition of OPUS – a supply chain W magazine that gives insights on the latest trends in supply chain management and operations management. OPUS 4.0 team intended to keep all the readers updated with this integral part of any business. Like every year, we have thrown light on supply chain and operation practices of some interesting areas that makes it run efficiently. Our cover story revolves around sea food supply chain. Many of the areas are fortunate enough to inherit their habitation on coastline for gaining nutritious and delicious seafood. However, a planned supply chain practice has never kept other regions away from consumption of sea food. What are those activities? How are these carried efficiently? What are the challenges? All of this will be covered in this issue. “A yawn is silent scream for coffee”. So you can respond to this scream by reading our personality article. Carrying our tradition of personality article, we have the man reinventing the supply chain model of Starbucks- Peter. D Gibbons on our list. According to him “Outsourcing is not a panacea, it's often called make-or-break decision”. Gibbons has indeed turned the coffee shop into a library.
