Case Incident: The Expansion of Blue Streak 1. What suggestions would you offer to Art to improve his operation? I would suggest hiring or promoting one or two people to also be senior management. As the only person in senior management, he was able to oversee his business and run it efficiently when it was small. He was acting in-between a middle level management and upper level. Now that his business has expanded he needs more help, so he can focus on the company in general and not small issues. Another problem that can be solved would be to delegate more authority to his staff in the neighboring states. Business in different markets may require different strategies and it would be best for those who are there everyday to be able to implement those strategies. Also, since his
