VISION STATEMENT This project is to upgrade the computer systems for the Windsor Valley Preparatory School roll-out (upgrade) project to ensure that good educational software is installed and that provision is made for systems administration. Project Plan start on Mar 13, 2017 and should be completed and approved on April 14, 2017. DETAILED PROJECT REQUIREMENTS Administration Office: Upgraded school management software to be installed. The system should be available for specific person who allow limited access for teachers or staffs to retrieve information. Student should not be able to do so. Library: Library management software to be installed to easily find any book (e.g. find a book by title or author's name and then the system will show where the book is) and the librarian can set up any new book into the system A shared printer to be made available with control over what is printed and with the ability to charge for the amount printed. Computer Lab: Newest computers to be installed to allow rapid re-configuration and restoration to standard configuration, including change of operating system. This may require the implementation of a server to hold images or virtual machine images for the lab. Internet Connection: A centralised content filter to be implemented on a new gateway server to be installed in the school communications room. A firewall and anti-virus protection should be installed over all computers in the school Security: Centre control of user accounts to be controlled and security policies enforced.
