From Mona Lisa to Modernism Review Sheet for Exam 1 — Monday, February 19th, 2018 (10:30-11:20) 240 ABW Format: This exam will have: 3 term definitions (6 minutes), 10 slide identifications (10 minutes), 1 short analysis (10 minutes), and 1 long essay (24 minutes). The works of art listed below are a guide for preparing for the slide identification and short analysis sections. PLEASE USE THE DATA ON THIS REVIEW WHEN STUDYING. A slideshow with the study slides and flashcards can be found on ICON. Part I: Term Definition — 6 minutes You will be given 5 terms, and you will have to provide definitions for three of them. You will have two minutes to define each term. You will also need to provide at least one example of a work of art (identified by artist and title) that relates to each term. Write your definitions in complete sentences. Part II: Slide Identification — 10 minutes You will be shown 10 slides for one minute each. Identify each slide, giving its artist, title, and date, all of which are listed below. We will give partial credit when appropriate. On the dates, full credit will be given for answers within 5 years more or less than the correct date.
