Q: Carl Jung’s concept, collective unconscious was based on what? A: Carl Jung’s collective unconscious was a concept of a shared inherited reservoir of memory traces from our species’ history. 4. Q: Was assumption was Freud’s entire psychoanalytic theory rested on? A: Freud’s rested his psychoanalytic theory on his assumption that the human mind often represses offending wishes, banishing them into the unconscious until they resurface.
