How Johnny Got His Gun.JoAnna SprawlsHow Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo, is about a boy and his father who have a complex relationship with each other but by using, tone, section of detail, and syntax, we are able to examine the complex relationship they have and break it down. When father and son go fishing and camping alone in the woods for years at a time it can get boring so when the son invites a friend to come with him the dad gives him a way of and being able to gown more that he could at the age of fifteen. The relationship between the father and son is a complex one but by using tone we can sort out the feelings that are intertwined in the relationship. Anxious, nervous, sad, this is what the son is felling because he is worried about what his father will say about inviting a new person into their trip. “He sat infant of the fire and looked across at his father and wondered just how hw was going to tell him.
