Through my critical lens in a feminist perspective I am able to analyze how women are portrayed and presented in comparison to men. I believe that the feminist perspective serves the greatest impact when it comes to literature because it addresses the nature of humans regarding the difference in gender. When it comes to Othello, the aptitude of gender roles are predominant when it comes to sexuality, love, and jealousy. By examining the storyline of Othello, I can safely determine that the presentation of women are not as prioritized when it comes to the men. Although women were often hidden from the stage their character were at its most powerful and dignified. In some instances the work of biases and stereotypes played a role in constructing the formation of Othello.
