Jerome Schroder CHMN 201-D04 LUO October 27, 2014 Spiritual Gifts Paper PART ONE: What are your top two spiritual gifts? Do you agree with the results? Why or why not? My top two spiritual gifts are “Mercy Showing” and “Pastoring/Shepherding”. I love people so when it comes to showing mercy I believe I can relate to them. I may not know exactly what they are going through at the time but I believe that I have always had a heartfelt compassion for those that are hurting whether it is physical, emotional or spiritual. To be honest, for the most part I do not always know how to help someone who is hurting rather than to be a friend, be a good listener or just to offer a prayer of comfort. A lot of times people do not always want me to solve their problems but rather they just need someone to talk to or perhaps to just get something off their chest. I am not too sure about pastoring as being one of my spiritual gifts although that is the degree I am perusing. The reason that I am leaning more towards disagreeing with the results as a pastor is because I do not do well when speaking to a large group of people. According to my test results, I also have the gift of shepherding. Although that I have the gift of shepherding does not necessarily mean that I will be called to be a pastor but I do have a desire to serve God by overseeing, training and caring for the needs of a group of Christians. My spiritual gift of “Pastoring/Shepherding” also tied evenly with “Evangelism” and “Teaching”. I believe that these two spiritual gifts are more along the lines as to what God has called me to do. I love nothing more to than to talk about God with other people and to tell them what He has done in my life. I also find it satisfying to have the God given gift to teach someone something that they did not otherwise know before and for them to go out and apply it to their life.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
