Kohler Company is one of America’s oldest and largest privately owned companies, comprised of over 32,000 associates. The company was founded in 1873 in Kohler, Wisconsin by John Michael Kohler that produced a variety of cast-iron and steel products. It now has more than 50 manufacturing locations worldwide. Kohler is a global leader in the manufacture of kitchen and bath products, engines and power systems, and premier furniture – including cabinetry and tile. The company also owns and operates luxury hospitality and golf resort destinations, both domestic and international. (Kohler, 2014) Interview 1. What efforts is top management putting in place to support innovation? Kohler teaches a nd facilitates practices for consumer experience design and development, continuously improving the new product development process this includes design and decision making for supply chain, delivery and sales outlets. top management are the top contributing factors to influence and support leadership to help team members to think with consumer empathy and creative focus. 2. Does everyone devote part of their daily attention to having a better business model? Every associate contributes to the success of Kohler “ Our ability to attract and retain talented people,” allied to the quality of “our management” reinforces the firm’s success. “We must offer exciting, challenging careers if we are to get the right people.”
