Based on research people with highest IQ outperform those with average IQs just 20 percent of the time while average IQs outperform those with high IQ s 70 percent of the time. This anomaly threw a massive wrench into what many people had always assumed was the sole source of success—IQ. Decades of research now point to emotional intelligence as the critical factor that sets star performers apart from the rest of the pack. Emotional intelligence is ability to recognize and understand emotions in yourself and others as well as how to employ this awareness to manage your behavior and relationship bifurcated in self and social competence. Emotional intelligence plays a main role in everybody`s professional life causes to focus energy in one direction with tremendous results. Some of the key important reason leaders need Emotional intelligence to be successful in their carrier path. Compassion Their style is about growing an organization that cares about their employees and anyone who conducts business with them. Effective Communication Motivation comes from effective communication. Clarity and consistency in stating a thought or directive gives employees the ability to understand what is expected or needed from them. This extends itself to being able to listen without judgment, keeping emotions under control. Self-Awareness Help clarity of strengths and weaknesses to focus on strength while hiring individuals who perform well in lacks astuteness area. Authenticity Helps to understand their own values and be consistent in applying them. Respect Practice self and others respect to create a both way respectful dialogue and environment and prevent conflict. Leading from Heart Reduce the distance between leaders and employees and initiate that feeling all sides are in same team. Also spread out sense of humor and keep sufficient balance between seriousness and fun times could help to instill a positive energy to the workspace. Confidence and Intuition To make right decisions and in right time with available data, information and resources under high pressure and risk while they play as role model.

Creativity Be able to deviate from th 2 e set course and look outside of the box for a different option. According to EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE APPRAISAL my overall score came out 93 suggesting to work more on SOCIAL AWARENESS which I earned 80 in that . interestingly the strategy proposed is to “greet people by name”. I really love that always try to learn my coworkers and classmates name and call them by the name they preferred to be called.
