Jones 2Human Trafficking EssayThere are criminal acts happening everyday throughout the world but one that is a major issue is human trafficking. Human trafficking is this day in ages version of slavery. In which people are abducted, manipulated, and sold into becoming labor or more commonly sexual slaves. They are exploited and sold for a great deal of money, being forced to perform acts of anykind and are usually drugged throughout. This global issue racks in over 150 million dollars a year. The purpose of this paper is to approach this social problem in hope of seeking a direction of change to help alleviate human trafficking altogether. Problem Statement About Human TraffickingThe overall problem with human trafficking is that young children and women are at the highest risk of being put into sex slavery. They are exploited for prostitution and pornography in which they are abducted, harbored, transported and then forced to sex slavery (Rezaeian, 2016). This includes being physically abused, beat, raped, and drugged. The negative consequences of this is that a society should not live in fear of being abducted (Bales, 2007). Thinking that you are someone you love can be taken and sold into this slavery affects your wellbeing and ability tofunction in society. It’s important to address these problems so that a society can work together to stop this from happening. To form an organization, or a foundation to help spread awareness and hope to put an end to slavery. Changing the status quo will put at ease of the victims who have been a part of human trafficking and helping the families find peace. As well as alleviate a major crime issue globally.
