Bryanna Clarke CWV-101 3\09\2018 Andy McClurg Gospel Essentials A worldview is more than just one’s opinion on a variety of things (Waddell, 2015). Faith is the process of committing to a particular presupposition, trusting in Jesus Christ to be able to define them (Waddell, 2015). By having faith one is able to understand the underlying values, motivations and attitudes that give to rise to particular actions. Faith is the key to wisdom, an act that mirrors the human being justification of god. A person who believes in a personal divine being will need to also consider whether that being is good, evil, or even if there is more than one or only one (Hiles & Smith, 2015). This paper will discuss the essentials of the gospel or “good news” of the Christian faith, focusing on how the Christian worldview sees God, humanity, Jesus, and restoration, and then it will provide an analysis of the Christian worldview and finally a reflection on my personal worldview. God God's characteristics form the foundation of the Christian worldview. While our definitions and descriptions of God are always somewhat limited, they are also absolutely necessary for faith and for our spiritual well- being. God’s attributes consists of love, grace, holy, perfect, eternal, impersonal, and he longs for the fellowship of man and all that is divine. “I am that I am,” (Exodus 3:14). There are many scriptures in the bible that expresses God’s characteristics. For example, Psalms 147:5, “Great is our Lord and abundant in strength, his understanding is infinite”. God has many names along with all or his wonderful characteristics such as “El Shaddai” (Gen. 17:1), Yahweh Rapha (Ex. 15:26). God created this world, he created 1
