Seals Case: _________________Scenario 8 ________________ Name:__________________ Date:________1/30/18________ Complete Brainstorming phase: List all the people and organizations affected (the stakeholders) Company, vendor, company employees List risks, issues, problems, and consequences The company is using the software without paying for it and that is a risk in and of itself. The consequences for doing so may be severe. The company is ethically obligated to pay for the software as they are using it. List benefits. Identify who gets each benefit Company gets to continue using the software as long as the vendor who distributed the licenses doesn’t find out that the company has continued using their software. In cases where there is no simple yes or no decision, but rather one has to choose some action, list possible actions The employees at the company should inform their supervisors that the copies violate the license agreement. The person who signed the license agreement has even more responsibility to do so, as he is the one who is legally obligated to uphold the company’s part of the deal.
