1 Jacqueline Darnell SPD 200- Co-teaching Interventions March 3, 2018 Instructor Mundle Co-teaching Interventions There are a few methods in which I feel that can be safe and productive when teaching in an inclusion classroom setting. While addressing the scenario with a student that has autism and the struggles he/she has while working with other students cooperatively, some disruptive behaviors may take place. I will discuss methods of interventions in some ways that might de-escalate a student with autism that is having a meltdown. I will also talk about some techniques how to intervene and debrief the other students that were present during the student’s debacle and preventative ways to avoid future situations. There are many ways that co-teachers can collaborate when seeking solutions for disruptive behaviors. Also, as teachers, there are ways to engage and support all students, so that they are having their educational needs met. Overall the protection of the student that is having the behavioral issue is significant, and there are laws to follow when dealing with all students.
