2 Changing the Paradigm This was a very interesting video from Sir Ken Robinson. It is not a new theory that everyone learns differently and that there are problems with the way the current education system works, given that it was originated at a very different age. Dividing students in the academic and non-academic is a terrible way to determine the cognitive ability of students. If we were to put people in different situations some may thrive and some may fail. Putting academic people above others is difficult. We couldn’t expect a scholar to understand how to fix a motor vehicle better than a mechanic. While it is beneficial for all to work hard towards academics, it is difficult to place some higher than the other. Also, Robinson’s theory of the misplaced and fictitious epidemic of ADHD is very true. Given modern technology and capacity of capitalism
