Term: Government Definition: The Institutes that make public policy decisions for society Term: Collective Goods Definition: Goods and services that by their nature cannot be denied to anyone i.e. clean water, clean air Term: Politics Definition: The process determining the leaders we select and the policies they pursue. Produces authoritative decisions about public issues. Term: Political Participation Definition: All the activities by which citizens attempt to influence the selection of political leaders and the policies they pursue. Voting is the most common means of participation. Others include contacting public officials, protests, and civil disobedience.
