Term: NREM Stage I Definition: Stage of very light sleep that only last a few minutes. Personae feels drowsy and relaxed eyes roll from side to side, heart and respiratory rates drop slowly. Term: NREM Stage II Definition: Light sleep body processes continue to slow down. Eyes are generally still. Heart and respiratory rates and temperature falls. Only last 10-15 min but constitutes 44-55% of total sleep.
