Term: Alternating Current (AC) Definition: An electrical current that constantly changes in amplitude and changes in polarity at regular intervals. Term: Apparent Power Definition: That power apparently available for use in an AC circuit containing a reactive element. Term: Average Value of AC Definition: The average of all the instantaneous values of one-half cycle of AC. Term: Capacitance Definition: The property of an electrical circuit that opposes changes in voltage. Term: Capacitive Reactance (Xc) Definition: The opposition offered to the flow of AC by capacitance, expressed in ohms.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
