Ex.)  Romantic partners often initially experience  excitement and vulnerability, which are  symptoms of Eros (or passionate love).  As the  passionate love wanes partners may become  disillusioned with the relationship unless the love  evolves into more of a Storge type  (companionate or friendship-based), which  provides a sense of security that develops in   the  relationship, and where the partner’s  expectations for each other become more  realistic.
