Materials and Methods A. Materials: spectrophotometer, spinach or ivy leaves, test tube rack, a goose-neck light, aluminum foil, 4 cuvettes, a container with ice, 1 mL transfer pipettes, Kimwipes, distilled water, 0.1-M phosphate buffer, Parafilm, and a large Erlenmeyer flask filled with water. B. When you arrive, the spectrometer will be warming up to 605 nm. The TA will prepare a suspension of chloroplasts from the spinach or ivy leaves. C. Number your 4 cuvettes 1 through 4. Make sure that you handle the cuvettes from the top and bottom so that you don’t get fingerprints on the sides. Use the Kimwipes to wipe the sides of the cuvettes. D. You should make a foil cover and cap so that no light can enter the cuvette for your dark tube. (But, make sure that you remove the foil when you place it into the
