Piktochart Reflection This project was different than the research argument in terms of the rhetorical situation. The aspect of the rhetorical situation that had the biggest affect in my creation of the infographic was trying to appeal to a different audience. In the research argument paper, the audience was a scholarly or academic audience, while the infographic is geared more towards a general audience. As I began my draft, I realized the importance of trying to visualize my information with pictures. As I worked, I found there to be material constraints that hindered my process. I found it difficult to present my information using pictures since much of my information was not statistic based. To overcome this challenge, I decided to use a pros and cons chart using pictures to represent each side. I also had some difficulty presenting my statistical information in a visually appealing way. It took me a few tries before I was happy with the way I presented my information. For my infographic, I decided to use the minimalist template that was provided.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
