Act 3 Summary: The Group of rebels all go into court with Caesar and stab him to death. Caesar is surprised Brutus was involved, and after Brutus was talking about how nice they were to put Caesar out of his misery of waiting for death. Antony asks to speak on Caesar’s behalf, and he carries Caesar’s body out of the capitol. Antony speaks after Brutus and creates a riot with the people out for the blood of the rebels. They end up killing an innocent man just because he had the same name as a rebel. Comprehension Questions 1) Who was Caesar surprised to see killing him? Brutus. He was a loyal friend. Caesar thought that if his most loyal friend wanted him dead then so be it. 2) Who speaks on Caesar’s behalf? Antony 3) What was wrong with the person that the mob killed at the end of Act 3? The person they killed was not actually a rebel. He only had the name of a rebel. AP Level Questions
